Health Watchdog and prospective Conservative MP Maggie Throup has called upon Solihull Care Trust to be open and transparent in its decision about the future of Solihull’s Maternity Services at the Board meeting being held next Wednesday 27th January.
 
Ms Throup said: “I have written to the Chief Executive of Solihull Care Trust asking for openness and transparency during the discussions about the future of maternity services when the Trust’s Board meets next Wednesday.
 
“I am sure this issue will be on the agenda and I have asked for questions from the public to be allowed.
 
“Many residents feel the decision to downgrade our maternity has been made behind closed doors without the transparency and openness we expect from a public body. Public questions to the Board will start to redress this and will allow local voices to be heard.”
