Maggie was born in Shipley, West Yorkshire and was educated at Bradford Girls' Grammar School. She gained an Honours degree in Biology at University of Manchester and also has professional qualifications in Biomedical Sciences and holds a Diploma in Marketing. After graduating, Maggie began her career as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, and then moved into Medical Diagnostics Sales & Marketing.

Since 1996 she has run a successful Marketing and Public Relations Consultancy, helping many businesses of all sizes, from sole-traders to plcs, to grow through the effective implementation of appropriate marketing and pr campaigns. Maggie provides marketing and public relations support for numerous private and public organisations and currently works for an MP and MEPs.

Maggie has lived in Solihull since 1987 and is committed to campaigning for freedom, opportunity and choice throughout the constituency.
