Erewash MP Maggie Throup is urging all interested parties to contribute to the Government’s new consultation on a Property Price Support Scheme (PPSS) for homes affected by HS2.
Speaking about the consultation, Maggie said:
“If introduced, a Property Price Support Scheme would provide eligible property owners with a mechanism that ensures that no financial loss is suffered as a result of generalised blight by HS2.
“This would allow the local property market to continue to function normally, as it would serve to reassure property owners and help to mitigate generalised blight caused by this major infrastructure project.
“I would therefore urge all local residents in Long Eaton, Sandiacre and Stanton Gate to submit their thoughts on the proposals and have their voices heard by the Government.”
The PPSS consultation runs until 11pm on Monday 9th July 2018. Hard copies are available from Maggie’s Community Office, Unit 2 The Old Co-Op, Ilkeston, in addition to being available online at https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/hs2-property-price-support-scheme-technical-consultation
