Erewash Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is set to receive an additional £4.6 million in new funding, after the Chancellor announced in his Autumn Statement that the Conservative-led Government will be increasing the NHS budget by a further £2 billion next year.
Erewash CCG will receive a 4.02% annual budget increase for 2015/2016, totalling £4,639,000. The total budget allocated for Erewash for 2015/16 will now be £120,038,000.
Commenting the new funding Maggie said: “I am delighted that the Government has backed the fantastic work that our local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group has been doing here in Erewash, by awarding them an additional £4.6 million in new funding for 2015/16.
“As a former NHS work myself, I understand just how much of a difference this new funding, together with the successful £1 million bid from the Prime Minister's Challenge Fund early this year will make to both patients and staff right across Erewash.
“As part of my plan for Erewash, I am committed to securing further new funding for our local NHS services over the coming years to ensure we protect our health service, free at the point of use, for future generations.”
