Staff at Ilkeston based manufacturer Baltex Ltd recently raised over £1051.92 for Treetops Hospice at their Summer Fair, which this year was opened by Erewash’s prospective Conservative MP Maggie Throup.
Speaking about the fundraising initiative Maggie Throup said: “I was delighted when Managing Director Charles Wood of family-run Baltex asked me to open this year’s Summer Fair. Not only was it a great afternoon for all at Baltex to come together and have a good time, but they have also raised some vital funds for our local Hospice.
“Having visited Treetops and spoken to people who have experienced the exceptional care and support that the Hospice provides for both patients and their families, I know the money raised at the Fair will be invested in helping local residents through some of the most difficult times of their lives.”

Managing Director Charles Wood added: “I’m delighted that this new charitable initiative was such a success, enjoyed by staff and their families as well as supporting Treetops.”
