Maggie Throup and Karen Grinsell took their unwanted T-shirts to the Conservative Party Conference last week and donated them to Oxfam as part of the Conference Social Action project.
Maggie said: “I know from my visits to Rwanda just what a huge difference something such as a T-shirt can make in the developing world. We take our clothes for granted, yet in many African countries a simple T-shirt brings such a big smile to many faces.”
Karen added: “Everyone has T-shirts they don’t wear so this was such an easy way to support Oxfam and show the importance of social action too”.
