The Minister for Education, The Rt. Hon. Nick Gibb, has confirmed that schools in Erewash will receive a five percent increase in funding under the new National Funding Formula and has praised local MP Maggie Throup for bring a “dose of reality” to a recent Commons debate on the issue.

Cold Weather Payments Triggered

Cold weather payments across Erewash have been triggered due to the persistent cold weather. £25 will be paid to eligible residents for the period 24th February to 2nd March as the weather has been recorded at zero degrees or below for seven consecutive days.
