On Tuesday, I was pleased to have the opportunity to ask two parliamentary questions to the Secretary of State and Ministers in the Department of Health and Social Care.
My first question was about Community Diagnostic Centres. In particular, I asked the Secretary of State for Health whether he would look at locating Community Diagnostic Centres away from hospitals and into everyday settings such as shopping centres and football stadiums, as was done so successfully with the Covid vaccine rollout. My second question was about tackling junk food advertising. According to the Obesity Health Alliance 72% of the public support a 9pm watershed on junk food advertising.
I asked the Minister in the Department of Health and Social Care whether he could provide an update as to when they plan to introduce the 9pm watershed on junk food advertising. You can view my contribution here - https://parliamentlive.tv/event/index/4a6c801b-f272-4ffd-b13c-053272e92a4f?in=12:24:23
