In Parliament, I was pleased to show my support for Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal event. Every March, the Great Daffodil Appeal encourages people to donate and wear a daffodil pin to raise money to help Marie Curie continue its vital work of providing people at the end of their life the care they need. Currently, one in four people don’t receive end of life care.
At the event, I met Marie Curie ambassador and former footballer, Chris Kamara, as well as a Healthcare Assistant Cherry Rowland.
The money raised through the Great Daffodil Appeal helps Marie Curie provide expert care and support to anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and support those close to them, through one of the charity’s hospices, hospice care at home services. More information can be found on Marie Curie’s website here.
