Local optometrist Jaysons Opticians celeberated its 30th years in Long Eaton with National Eye Health Week awareness campaign which encourage people to take better care of their sight.
The event was attended by Erewash MP Maggie Throup, Sight Support Derbyshire volunteers, Mrs Nancy Plummer retired Visual Impairment Team worker and members of the public.
Dr Bansri Lakhani specialist eye doctor was at hand to answer any questions.
Maggie Throup was given a tour of the practice seen here with Mr Lakhani practice owner, Liz Christian Dispensing Optician, Helen Bacon, and Aisha Lambat.
Maggie said:
“It was really good to meet the staff at this long-established family business, based in the heart of Long Eaton. Our eye sight is very precious and campaigns such as the National Eye Health week play an extremely important role to raise awareness of this important issue.
“Jaysons Opticians play an important role in our community as this event showed.”
