It was great to join the British Liver Trust for the launch of their report Liver Cancer – A Call to Action. At the launch, I was proud to support the British Liver Trust’s calls to improve earlier diagnosis and outcomes for patients across the UK and in Erewash.

Long Eaton Railway Ticket Office Saved

Maggie Throup, Member of Parliament for Erewash is delighted with the news that the Government has decided not to ratify proposals to close railway ticket offices, including the one at Long Eaton Station.

I was delighted to join Erewash Voluntary Action (EVA) for their celebration day. There were two fantastic milestones to commemorate – the Volunteer Centre reaching its 40th year and EVA itself amassing 25 years.

Community Automated External Defibrillator Fund Now Open

Maggie Throup, Member of Parliament for Erewash is urging community organisations across Erewash to apply for a grant to fund a life-saving defibrillator through the Community Automated External Defibrillator Fund.
